PEACH OF CAKE...I MEAN GALETTE

p3.jpg

What's a galette you ask?

Honestly, no idea.

But it's French, a form of dessert and very pretty. So naturally, I am all about it.

My version of following a recipe is something along the lines of "read it once and hope for the best." Precise Measuring? eh. Exact cooking time? Immaculate knife cuts?

What's the fun in that!

So the wonderful thing about this Galette is that it fits very well into my style of cooking. It turned out beautifully, but yet was so simple to make. If you've thought baking impressive desserts takes extensive periods of time and iron chef level skills, think again!

All you need is 5 ingredients, a cute apron and hungry friends.

(cute apron is not optional.)

Told you it was a peach of cake. Top yours with some homemade whipped cream if you know what's good in the world.

Oh, and also, if you know what a galette really is, let me know.
